Taarof 'a verbal dance' is a story of one woman's battle to fight against the cultural, social but also self-imposed limitations of what it is to be an ethnic/Persian female growing up in London today. When Nazanin attends her estranged father's funeral, she is compelled into womanhood by rebelling against the ideals of what it is to be an Iranian woman.

TAAROF 'a verbal dance' is the story of one woman's battle against the cultural, social but also self-imposed limitations of what it is to be an ethnic female growing up in London today. When Nazanin attends her estranged father's funeral, she is compelled into womanhood by rebelling against the ideals of what it is to be an Iranian woman. Nazanin's father left her at a young age, leaving her alienated from her father, heritage and culutre. This is all brought to a head when she has to attend his funeral, and is reunited with relatives and a culture she once knew.

TAAROF is currently touring festivals worldwide and is due to screen at;
